RoamWise · Seed Round · 2026

The AI travel planner that
tells you the truth
about where you're going.

Built in the Himalayas for the way people actually travel India and Asia — grounded in real local pricing, honest road times, and answers it will refuse to fake. One deck, three audiences: the slides marked for you are near the end.

The Problem

Travellers don't lack inspiration.
They lack a planner they can trust.

🤖

Generic AI invents things

Ask a global chatbot to plan Spiti and it will confidently say a 200km drive takes three hours. It's nine. It names restaurants that closed years ago.

🗺️

Western tools don't know India

They can't tell you the Rishikesh auto costs ₹150, not the ₹400 a tourist is quoted — because that truth isn't on the open internet.

💸

Nobody splits the real cost

Group trips still get planned in chaotic WhatsApp threads, with no honest budget and no way to settle who owes whom.

The gap isn't intelligence. It's ground truth and trust.

02 · The problem
Why Now

The whole market is shifting to
exactly what we built.

~30%
of travellers now use AI to plan trips — and rising fast
94%
of them trust an AI recommendation at least as much as traditional sources
~20%
let AI actually spend money — most still want a human checkpoint

Travellers have decided to plan with AI but book with their own hands. That is exactly the behaviour RoamWise is designed around: do the thinking, earn the trust, hand off the booking. The window to own "the AI you plan with" is open right now.

Sources: 2026 traveller AI-adoption surveys (IPX1031, TakeUp, Amadeus). Adoption estimates vary widely by source; ~30% is a conservative mainstream read.
03 · Why now
The Product

RoamWise plans the trip,
then proves its own numbers.

Grounded itineraries

Day-by-day plans built on real terrain-aware travel times and verified local cost bands — so it can say "that day-trip isn't possible" instead of inventing one.

Group coordination

Shared trip chat with live cost-splitting down to the paise, date-finding, and one-tap UPI settle-up. This is our wedge — nobody else owns the group.

Honest by design

No fake urgency, no invented safety claims. Every honest refusal is a reason a traveller comes back. Trust is the product.

Built for India, works for the world

Mobile-first, UPI-native, Hinglish-fluent — then the same engine serves anyone travelling into these regions.

04 · The product
Traction — where we honestly are

26 registered users. ₹500 revenue.
One month operating — stated without spin.

26
registered users at the current baseline
₹500
revenue earned to date
₹21K
monthly burn for three intern salaries

RoamWise is revenue-generating but still at the earliest traction stage. We are not presenting one month of data as product-market fit. This financing is built to prove retention, paid conversion, repeatable acquisition and travel marketplace demand.

05 · Traction
Execution

Shipped, not slideware.

Live

Android app + web app, in the wild today at roamwise.co.in

1

Solo founder — product, code, design, content, all of it

3

Interns contributing, with a full internal ops system built for them

₹0

Raised so far. Everything above was built without outside money

A working product with real payers, built by one person with no funding, is the strongest possible proof of capital efficiency. Imagine what this founder does with a real team.

06 · Execution
Defensibility

Public data is the floor.
Verified local ground-truth is the moat.

Layer 1 — Public base (copyable)

OpenStreetMap, Wikivoyage, transit data. Anyone can use these. They give structure, not truth. On their own they cannot price a Rishikesh auto correctly.

Layer 2 — Verified ground-truth (ours)

Real cost bands, scam patterns and seasonal pricing, each checked by a paid contributor on the ground and stamped who + when. This does not exist online to scrape. We create it.

It compounds

Contributors re-verify on a cycle; users flag stale prices. A copyist starts from zero on launch day, and is a year behind by the time they match our base.

A giant won't do it

Optimising for 190 countries, no global player will pay to price-check autos in 40 Indian cities. The narrowness is the defensibility.

07 · Moat
Market

A large market, growing fast.

📱

$25.4B → $38.6B

India online travel, 2026 → 2031 at ~8.7% CAGR. 78% of bookings are mobile, UPI-led.

✈️

$23.4B · 11.4% CAGR

India outbound tourism — the fastest-growing slice, and where our high-value users sit.

🌏

Tier-2/3 coming online

~1B smartphones in India by 2026; millions of first-time online travellers entering the funnel.

We don't need this whole market. We need the travellers planning within India and Asia — underserved by Western tools, mobile-first, and now AI-first.

Sources: Mordor Intelligence (India online travel, 2026); Future Market Insights (India outbound, 2026). Investors should verify independently.
08 · Market
Business Model

Four revenue lines.
None of them a data sale.

Subscriptions

₹100 founder price → tiered subs and 3/5/10-year passes. Recurring, and higher for international users.

Affiliate

Flights, stays, activities. Never influences a recommendation — the cost engine computes identically either way.

Creator partnerships

Co-branded and sponsored itineraries. Revenue-share, so cost scales only when revenue does.

Merch + ads

Print-on-demand travel tees; website-only ads. Small, steady, zero-inventory.

No data sale. No paid placement. No dark patterns. The trust is the asset — we don't sell it.

09 · Model
Five-Year Projection

Two ARPU pools. One compounding engine.

₹ CroreY1Y2Y3Y4Y5
India MAU12k70k230k560k1.08M
Intl MAU1.5k12k55k160k380k
India ARPU₹120₹300₹480₹650₹800
Intl ARPU₹600₹1,400₹2,200₹3,000₹3,600
Revenue0.040.462.599.9028.94
EBITDA−2.8−4.6−5.9−2.8+11.1

EBITDA turns positive in Year 5 (~38% margin) on ~₹29 Cr revenue; cumulative burn to breakeven ~₹16 Cr. A model, not a promise — every figure traces to a stated funnel and ARPU assumption you're welcome to push on.

10 · Financials
Durability of Earnings

Predictable revenue up.
Cost-to-serve down.

🔁 Recurring revenue

Multi-year passes and subscriptions convert one-time buyers into annual ARPU; creator trips add contracted, repeatable revenue; affiliate compounds with the base.

🤖 AI cost minimisation

Support, content, itinerary drafting and data QA are largely automated. No per-query model bill — answers use owned data. Margin holds as users 100×.

🤝 Creators, two-sided

Partnerships drive both revenue and efficient customer acquisition. Paid as revenue-share, never fixed fees.

📈 Next revenue, owned assets

CoordKit (our settle-up engine, sold B2B), verified-data licensing, and eSIM/fintech attach — each reuses what we already own.

11 · Durability
The Ask · Flexible Seed financing

$500K minimum. $2.5M target. $5M hard cap.

Rolling closes allow RoamWise to start with a focused plan and expand only as milestones justify deployment. Approximate INR equivalents: ₹4.75 Cr minimum, ₹23.75 Cr target and ₹47.5 Cr absolute hard cap.

30% — Product & reliability

Mobile, AI quality, privacy, payments, monitoring and the removal of founder-only technical bottlenecks.

25% — Distribution

Creator, referral, campus and community channels measured against activation, retention and revenue.

25% — Supply & local data

Travel partners, verified ground truth, stays, experiences and destination operations.

10% — Trust & compliance

Entity setup, legal, finance, security, moderation and travel-safety systems.

10% — Runway reserve

Released against operating milestones rather than spent simply because it was raised.

Hard-cap discipline

No investment above $5M enters this financing before or after the target close.

Series A proof: repeatable acquisition, improving retention, meaningful paid conversion, growing revenue and demonstrated marketplace activity.

12 · The ask
For the institutional VC

Why this is venture-scale.

A category is being recut

"The AI you plan travel with" is an unowned position forming right now. The winner in India's mobile-first, AI-first shift can extend across South and Southeast Asia — a multi-hundred-million-user surface.

A data asset, not just an app

The verified ground-truth layer is a compounding, licensable dataset — valuable independent of the app, and the basis of a durable moat and a real Series A story.

Capital efficiency as signal

Paying users and a live product on ₹0 raised. This is a founder who converts money into output at an unusual rate — the trait that most predicts a good ownership outcome.

Clear path to the next round

Defined milestones — data across 40 cities, positive unit economics — make the Series A underwriteable, not hopeful.

13 · For the VC
For the angel investor

Why this is a founder to back early.

You're betting on the person

Solo founder who shipped a live app, earned real payers, and built an entire internal ops system — alone, unfunded, from Almora. Angels win on people at this stage; this is the profile.

Honesty as a moat

A product that refuses to lie in a category full of hallucinating chatbots. That integrity is rare, hard to fake, and exactly what earns long-term user trust.

Small round, real ownership

A flexible Seed structure offers early participation while tying larger deployment to measurable operating milestones.

You can actually help

Intros to travel, creators, or early users move the needle now. This is a founder who will use your help, not just your cheque.

14 · For the angel
For the strategic & India-focused investor

Why this fits the India thesis.

Built for Bharat, not adapted to it

UPI-native, Hinglish-fluent, mobile-first, and priced for how Indians actually pay — once, not endless subscriptions. This didn't get localised from a Western app; it started here.

Tier-2/3 is the growth

The next hundred million travellers come online from smaller cities. A trustworthy, low-cost, mobile planner is how they're won — and RoamWise is positioned there.

Domestic + outbound, one engine

The same product serves a family planning Manali and a professional planning Singapore — capturing both the volume and the high-ARPU corridor.

Made in the Himalayas

A genuine India-origin story with national-pride and export potential — the kind of company that represents Indian software to the world.

15 · For India
RoamWise

Everyone can plan a trip.
Almost nobody plans it honestly.

We're building the travel planner that earns trust by telling the truth — and turning that trust into the most defensible dataset in Indian travel. Come build it with us.
