How a listing actually gets certified

RoamWise never lists a trip it hasn't verified — that rule doesn't bend for this program. Your listing starts as Scouting (shortlisted, visible internally, not yet public-certified) the moment your application is accepted, and moves to ✓ Certified once someone from RoamWise has actually attended a class or verified the retreat in person. Same bar as every other experience in the catalog.

Commission on a direct booking

12% of the booking value — the same rate RoamWise already publishes for activity-style experiences (treks, rafting) and states plainly in its own experience catalog: "we take 12%, not 25%." This is separate from, and additional to, the 25–30% referral commission above — a student can book your retreat directly without ever buying Pro.

Every accepted applicant gets the same zero-marginal-cost 30-day full Pro trial every RoamWise creator gets at the Applied tier. We deliberately did not add a standing free/discounted-Pro perk just for "being a verified instructor" — unlike the capped Founder offer, a self-serve instructor perk has no natural seat cap, and an open-ended free grant against an ongoing service cost is exactly the kind of liability RoamWise's own pricing docs warn against. Free and lifetime Pro beyond the trial is earned the same way it already is for every creator: through real, attributed referral sales or a certified listing — never for status alone.
