Realms of Roam — Official Contest Rules

No purchase necessary. No entry fee. Ever. Realms of Roam is a free, skill-based contest decided entirely by verified real-world travel — not by chance. It is not a lottery, betting or gambling activity.
1. Organiser
GYANVERSE, Almora, Uttarakhand, India ("the Organiser").
2. Eligibility
- Open to residents of India aged 18 years or older.
- Employees, interns and contractors of GYANVERSE and their immediate families are not eligible for cash prizes.
- Void where restricted or prohibited by local law.
3. How to enter
Create a free RoamWise account, join a House, and stamp a verified Journey Passport claim. A claim is verified only when your device confirms you are at the place you are claiming at the time of stamping. Unverified stamps are saved as personal memories and score nothing.
4. How winners are decided (skill, not chance)
- Each verified claim earns Glory. More remote regions are worth more.
- Weekly bounties award additional Glory for specific travel achievements.
- A season runs for one calendar month. The traveller with the most Glory in that season wins.
- Ties are broken by whoever reached the score first.
Outcomes depend on the entrant's own travel, planning and effort. There is no element of chance.
5. Prizes (per season)
- 1st place — ₹5,000
- 2nd place — ₹3,000
- 3rd place — ₹2,000
- 4th–10th — RoamWise merchandise / goodies
- Winning House — sigil badge for every member
Each individual prize is deliberately kept below ₹10,000, so no tax is deducted at source under Section 194B of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Winners remain responsible for declaring prize income in their own returns. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash alternatives beyond what is stated. The Organiser may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
6. Claiming a prize
Winners are contacted on their registered email within 14 days of a season ending and must respond within 14 days with details required to transfer the prize, including proof of age and residence. Unclaimed prizes may be forfeited or awarded to the next eligible entrant.
7. Fair play
- Falsified, spoofed, automated or duplicate claims are removed.
- The Organiser may audit leaderboard positions before paying prizes, and may request supporting evidence of travel.
- Attempting to manipulate the leaderboard results in disqualification and may lead to account termination.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts are disqualified.
8. Safety
Never take a risk for a prize. Do not travel to restricted, unsafe or permit-only areas without proper authorisation, and follow all local laws and advisories. The Organiser is not responsible for anything that happens while you travel.
9. Changes
The Organiser may modify prizes, scoring or these rules, or suspend the contest, with notice in the app. Changes do not apply retroactively to a completed season.
10. Privacy
Entry data is handled under our Privacy Policy. Winners' first names and Houses may be displayed on in-app leaderboards.
11. Governing law
Laws of India; courts at Almora, Uttarakhand have jurisdiction. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Google, Apple, or any app store.
